This recipe makes about 70ml of sauce.
Absolutely divine with Thung Tong recipe (Thai Money Bags).
I imagine this costs about $1 to make, very economical compared with the store bought offerings.
Ingredients
1/2 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1tbsp salt
1tbsp finely pounded mix of 1/2 long red chilli, 2 clove garlic
Method
Pound the garlic and chilli in mortar and pestle until fine.
Heat the vinegar, sugar and salt in a pan until dissolved.
Add chilli mix and bring to boil.
Simmer for 5 mins
Remove to clean jar or the like
